š© Some personal news! Starting in September, Iāll take over as host of RealGM Radioās NBA podcast. Iāll grab the baton from Danny Leroux, who has done great work establishing the show as a go-to source for year-round NBA talk that doesnāt lean on the usual questions and answers. This has been and will be a place for curious conversations about what interests me and my guests. Iāll bring on my favorite NBA voices and add some new flourishes (including other announcements soon). Hereās the episode where we announced the transition.
Iām beyond excited to get started. Subscribe now and stay tuned!
š© Locked On Heat podcast of the week: The Miami Heat stat draft! I had a ton of fun doing this one. We drafted Heat stats from the 2024-25 season and whether they would go over or under those marks in the 2025-26 season. You can listen to it here.
š© What if: What if the Heat were forced to trade Jimmy Butler this summer? I explored three scenarios that could have played out and what the Heatās roster would look like now. You can read it here.
š© My work is in a lot of different places these days. The best way to stay up to date (and not miss anything important) is to subscribe here.
š© On the road: Iāve never traveled out of state for a concert before, but Green Day wasnāt coming to Florida so the wife and I set out for Atlanta this week. We stayed at the hotel connected to Truist Park (where the Atlanta Braves play, and where the concert was) in Atlantaās Battery district (think Wrigleyville, but less wear and tear). Highly recommend this setup if youāre ever in town for a show or a game. Green Day was incredible. Iāve seen them at least half a dozen times and this might have been my favorite show. They played all of Dookie and all of American Idiot. What a treat. Here are some pics:
Good luck with the new pod. I will be listening but Locked On Heat will always be my favorite š
